Preface:
A “backgrounder” is the first part of each page throughout this workbook to orient the reader with regard to setting, mindset or thought process.
Instructors are thus free to use any number of these scenarios in class or as homework assignments, with optional reviews in class, or individual grading on reaction aspects. Most often class time is the delimiting factor on how much of this workbook can be used within the scope of a course.
The scenario, query point or challenge question which follows each “backgrounder” is meant to have the course participant thinking independently, whether individually addressing the matter, or in small groups for later reporting back to the larger class. Participants should be instructed to continue to take notes from the suggestions and thoughts of their group mates or classmates.
The course Instructor / Professor may elect to use the very same scenarios for examination purposes, where recall of several thoughts (from the many brainstormed from the class) represent testable points.
