About the Author
Welcome to the world of book promotion. Specifically, the promotion of your book.
My name is Nanci Arvizu, and I am the host of an Internet Radio show, Page Readers. Since 2009 I've been interviewing authors from all walks of life about their work, covering just about every genre out there. From business to science fiction, from romance to health. I've talked with people who live in the same state as I do, to as far away as Australia. These wonderfully talented authors have taken time to be my guest on Page Readers, so I have always tried to make their experience as pleasant and rewarding as possible.
Now, 100 plus shows and 30,000 plus listens later, I have learned that not everyone is ready to promote their book by talking about it. But with a little preparation to calm those pre-show jitters, any author can come across as a seasoned professional.
You've written a book
Now What?
After working so hard to put the pen to paper, or keyboard to screen, your creation is done! You are holding it in your hands or looking at it on your e-reader. You are ready for the throngs of buyers, money in hand, who will plunk down their hard earned cash to read your book.
But wait. No one is buying it? No one is visiting your website?
Radio and TV stations aren't filling your inbox or snail mail box with requests for interviews or appearances? Your phone isn't ringing off the hook with requests for you to write a second masterpiece?
